Chinese mobile producers are lately fascinated by shooting various semi-destruction videos with testing their phone’s durability and endurance. So no wonder Vernee chimed in and here we have the Thor model in a similar video.
But we have to say there is little invention across the board, because everybody is doing the same, hammering the nails, smashing nutshells, letting it fall on a concrete floor or our favourite discipline with drilling into the display.
Today’s video have quite some of the aforementioned fun included so we can see the close encounters of Vernee Thor and nutshells, free fall on the floor and even functioning as a tiny street car retarded. But surprise surprise, Vernee Thor comes out unscathed from all the abuse.
Gizchina News of the week
Nonetheless the phone still looks quite good and can’t hurt going over the specs again. So the Vernee Thor is going to offer 5-inch 2.5D arced display with HD resolution and 3rd gen Gorilla Glass, octa-core MT6753 processor with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB of storage, 13 MPix main cam, 5 Mpix front shooter and 2800 mAh battery capacity with fast charge support. Officially priced around 119.99$ it remains a pretty appealing budget choice.
Walnuts used in the video seem to be unnaturally bright, therefore I would not be surprised if they were soaked in a softening solution.
Moving from nuts, I would say the whole concept of Varnee promotional videos is low quality and highly comparable to Elephone’s.
Phone seems to be decent though.
compared with Umi touch drop test vieo, i think Vernee did the better job more than Umi did. by the way, each model has their advantages and i think customers also need to know how it is the external aspects of a smartphone.
