Elephone seems pretty proud about their new Elephone S3 model and trying to promote the bezel-less design of it left and right. Apparently they think that’s the main selling point of the device and well maybe they are not wrong, there is certainly a market for the real bezel-less design phone.
Today they have released a video full of children, laughs, bubbles and surprise surprise tons of bezel-less displays. As a mood enabler it’s not bad, but doubt it would convince anybody to consider buying the phone just for that. After all see for yourself.

The Elephone S3 comes with the interesting design that’s for sure, but the hardware is a tad less inspiring with 5.2-inch FHD display with Dragontrail glass, MT6753 paired with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB storage, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but only 2100 mAh battery and rear 13 MPix Sony IMX135 cam could be the weak points. On the other hand all alluminum alloy body with the fingerprint scanner makes its appealing to customers looking primarily for very good looking device.
I wonder for how long we have to see launching of MT6753 phones.
If the mt6580 is anything to go by then another few years?
Until the P10 is available to the masses. Eventually that will be the new budget SoC for MTK.
I would love to see MT6753 on 100$ phones, MT6735 on those super affordable ones, with let’s say a 80$ price tag. and the hell with the MT6580… If it was at least a revamped MT6592.
Yea I still don’t really understand the 6580, the 6582 was never a good platform to begin with. Eventually when P10 is more widespread we should start to see the 35/53 on the under $100 phones.
Well this Q1 of 2016 is being really annoying…
We still see a bloat of MT6753, few P10 relevant devices. ( I really miss Jiayu, iOcean and THL, they would proably announce something if they had on good profit times)
And the worst people complained a lot about MT6735 on budget phones, last year, but now we’re getting bloat of MT6580 devices…
I wish Elephone spent as much energy getting their phones to market as they do hyping phones that may or may not ever appear.
Only 2100mAh battery there are not many people buy, the battery is a big problem.
Thanks, 2100mAh is the reason why i decide to buy Ulefone Future which has 3000mAh battery at least, and faster charger that can charge it to full in 1 hour.
