Elephone S3 is now officialy up for grabs for 179.99$

The Elephone model they so much believe has just arrived or rather let’s say its available for presale, because the company has a little bit of a problematic history with fulfilling the promised schedule. Yes we are talking about the bezel-less Elephone S3, which is now up for grabs until the end of May for 179.99$.

The specs didnt change overnight so it’s still the same 5.2-inch phone with LG FHD bezel-less IPS display as the main selling point. Rest of the specs include MT6753 processor, 3 GB RAM, 16 GB storage, rear fingerprint scanner, Sony IMX135 sensor in the rear 13 MPix camera, full metal body, Android 6.0 and slightly disappointing 2100 mAh battery capacity.

With new Elephone website redesign it’s also possible to buy the phone directly from the company now and not be forced to rely on resellers. The Elephone S3 is listed for 179.99$ until May 31st, when the price will go up to retail 189.99$. Only the grey, silver and gold versions are currently available there, seems like the rose gold one is going to be delayed.

They’ve got the looks right but the phone is a little underpowered for the price and risk (Elephone quickly ditching support due to the number of phones they release).

The 2100 mAh battery in the Elephone S3 is more than “slightly disappointing” – it’s a joke. Not too impressed with the Mediatek MT6753 processor either – very last year when new budget phones at least have the Mediatek P10.

The price is too cheap. You can’t get real bazle-less with good quality at this price.
Ulefone Future will be better.

  Bezless screen is quite easy to do. But bezless that can survive a drop, that is more hard difficult.

  It would be too cheap if it used actual 2016 components but it doesn’t. The IMX 135 was used in the Xiaomi Mi3 and many other phones in 2013.

Presale now, delivery in 6 months. That’s usually for Elecrap, they will cite “manufacturing delays”.
$179 for a phone with a MT6753 from a company that has worse reliability than Yugo had?

To show absurd this price is you can get the following phones cheaper (all prices from Kimovil):
1. Xiaomi Mi4c – $142
2. Meizu Metal – $167
3. Honor 5x – $184
4 LeTV Le 1s – $160
5. Redmi Note 3 Pro – $165
6. Meizu M3 Note – $177
I would get anyone of those before this Elecrap model. They used bargain basement components this should cost no more than $100.
