Many chinese brands are suffering from difficult international availability of their products and customers are often very choosy when it comes to resellers. So if some chinese brand product shows up on a behemoth like Amazon then it’s a pretty big deal. And the latest Chuwi tablet with the 2in1 Chuwi HiBook has just officially arrived there so the fans rejoice.
The Chuwi HiBook is a pretty interesting from the current crop of the 2in1 Cherry Trail tablets, because the company finally decided to use the proper full metal body and OGS screen. So the hardware specs are quite appealing with 10.1-inch FHD display with 1920×1200 pixel resolution, Intel Atom-X5 Z8300, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB expandable storage, 6600 mAh battery, USB Type-C port and dual boot system solution with Android 5.1/Windows 10 combo on board.
Gizchina News of the week
Amazon availability means way faster shipping, safe transaction and easier warranty so i can see the people flocking more to the reasonably priced quality chinese stuff. And the Chuwi HiBook is definitely one of those, because the 2in1 tablet with dualboot and well crafted body is not a common sight in the West. Especially for price like 209.99$ as is the HiBook Amazon pricing, so only marginally more expensive than the chinese resellers, who offer the product roughly around 200$.
The only negative thing is the absence of the more or less mandatory accessory in form of the detachable keyboard dock, which is not listed on Amazon at all. If you are considering this tablet then i would strongly suggest to look for it and get it elsewhere for about 35-40 dollars, because without it the HiBook is not complete in my eyes.
