Xiaomi, like any other brand, is usually a victim of the spy cam and curious eye before every major launch. Through the years, phone makers have that it doesn’t always hurt to have your phone ‘leaked’ (IYKWIM). Xiaomi just took that to an all-new level with the Mi Max build up.
We’ve already seen some leaked pictures, specifications and such of the first ever 6+ inch phone from Xiaomi. It’s very well known that Xiaomi did’t quite meet its sales target for 2015, and is likely trying hard to make it right this season.
Xiaomi bosses are now sharing info about the Mi Max. Not just pictures or teasers, but full-blown videos! These videos are a part of a legit ‘Mi Max launch event countdown’ series, and even have episode numbers. Here are Episodes 1, 2 and 3:

Alongside the phone, Xiaomi’s newest iteration of its Android fork — MIUI 8 — is set to be announced.
With Xiaomi being desperate for attention (it truly seems like that), a change in its retail model could just be around the corner. And as far as we’re concerned, that’s what the doctor would order also.
The Mi Max is going to be a mid-range affair (think ‘bloated up Redmi Note 3’) with a customary 2 set specification (2GB/3GB RAM) and a Snapdragon 650 with a 6.4 inch screen.
