The Xiaomi Mi Max was announced today, i.e., on 10th May 2016 in China alongside MIUI 8.
The phone is the first device with a screen between 6 and 7 inches from Xiaomi. In other words, it’s the first phablet from the Beijing based phone maker.

The Mi Max will go on its first sale on 17th May in China. The phone has three variants with varying storages and RAM, take a look below:
- 3GB RAM/32GB, Snapdragon 650: 1499 Yuan / $230
- 3GB RAM/64GB, Snapdragon 652: 1699 Yuan / $260
- 4GB RAM/128GB, Snapdragon 652: 1999 Yuan / $306
There’s no word on a launch in other markets as of now.
The specifications suggest that the Mi Max is not very different from the Redmi Note 3 (Pro), with the exception, of course, of the added RAM.

So does multi-language stand for Chinese & English? Because that how it usually works for other Chinese companies.
For MIUI, the Chinese version contains Chinese & English. The multi-language contains a lot of other languages – French, Spanish, German etc.
