One of the last year’s budget “dark horse” phones was certainly Doogee X5 and because you never mess with something that works the company plans to introduce new Doogee X5 Max model improved in almost every aspect. But even with the design and hardware changes they promise to keep the same price/performance ration as before.
First major improvement will be bigger battery with 4000 mAh, which means 67 % larger capacity than X5 and theoretically could last up to 2.5 days of modest usage. Doogee X5 Pro is also getting new fingerprint scanner with 360 degree scanning and some additional functions attached to it.

Phone will also get metal frames and the cameras will both be equal, 8 MPix shooters with the difference only in aperturt, back one with f/1.8 and front with f/2.0. Another inovation is the hyped “dual ID” system allowing users to sign in in two accounts at once, for example Facebook and Twitter. The UI is going to be based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Doogee X5 Pro should be on sale starting May 20th in black and white versions and while the price is still unknown, it shouldn’t be much higher than with the X5.
2016 the year of the twilight zone, where Chinese phones releases are really 2014 models.
And the real battery will be 3000 mAh… =P
Just like the old Doogee X5, which was telling that it had 2200 mAh battery and the real capacity was 1800 and almost all users had problems with battery drain…
My company is using x5 for over 6 months .we use them in the field as PDA on gas work .we have over 60 and only two failures due to the 200lb gorillas that use them .we have NO issues with battery life .easily sees the day out .we will probably use these if they are of a similar price in the UK.Our PDA software does not tax the phone and we do not need it for games etc so don’t need a powerful phone.
