Vernee Thor is currently taking the market by the storm and even getting its first firmware update these day. But Vernee is already focusing on the next released phone in form of the flagship model Vernee Apollo, which is expected sometime in July.
But even before that we should be getting the Apollo Lite version next month and we have just learned that this Helio X20 phone could be the second one equipped with the USB Type-C connector used not just for the charging purposes, but also as an audio jack.
Gizchina News of the week
We have seen this solution in the LeEco 2 model and while it can theoretically offer better sound with reduced amount of noise it also means problems with headphone connector compatibilty. Still roughly 99.99% of the headphones in the market are equipped with the classcial 3.5mm jack, but first manufacturers are trying to produce some USB Type-C headphone, for example JBL Reflex Aware C.
This kind of a move can be risky, but we have the official statement from Vernee claiming, that while the USB Type-C of Apollo Lite can be used as audio connector the phone still has the normal 3.5mm jack. Seems like a liberal solution to the problem just letting the customers choose the preffered connection.
