One of the most frequented guests in our articles is for sure the new UMI Super and we already have pretty good idea about all the specs, design and more or less everything about the phone. Now they just have to release it finally 🙂
Gizchina News of the week
But that’s not happening yet so until the official release you can at least try to get the $70 discount coupon applicable for buying the UMI Super. You can try your luck in an event on the company official website or participate in the newly announced giveaway, where you just need to answer few nosy questions and 10 lucky winners are chosen every day excluding weekend to receive such coupon. One extra lucky winner will then even get UMI Super piece totally for free. This giveaway will be running until May 23rd so make haste.
On the very same day so 23rd May will also kick off the official presale period for UMI Super and you will be able to buy it for $249.99. And here you even have the phone spec recap in graphic form.
I see no reason to pick this at double the price over a meizu m3 note… Does someone see any?
Well to be honest it’s not double the price dude… The 3gb m3 note is starting from $218. Umi Super claims to have 4GB ram. Despite that you’ll have 1gb more ram no I don’t. 😉
M3 note is 220$ or even more through resellers, but I was talking about the official price just like 240 or even more is the official price of this umi… In the future m3 note’s price will drop more than super’s price, and even now, despite less ram, meizu is probably (like 99% sure) a better choice over a umi in this price range
Nope, it isn’t: the 4th gb of ram is mostly a marketing gimmick, in real life you’ll rarely have the actual need for it… Sure, “the more, the better”, but it’s totally not worth the extra money, and even more seeing how worse things tend to be comparing meizu with umi
Yup. Seems too much for that midrange P10, but the 4GB ram and the 4000mah battery are nice addition to the cost of the phone. Still way overpriced.
Umi is very good, they produce a lot of phone design is good, quality in general.
I am sure they pay you very well too.
I have used UMi’s before they aren’t bad but no where near $249.
Umi quality in general, have a variety of problems, including umi Rome and Touch.
Umi quality in general, have a variety of problems, including umi Rome and Touch. You’ve seen them, GPS and WIFI problems.
Yup. And that’s not even rltge regular price wich is $270.00 … Go figure….
Any ways the ELIFE S8 is also a bit $$$.
Yea the S8 is over $500, but that’s typical of Gionee. When it comes to Blu it will be $199 and that’s when I will buy it lol.
That’s the same plan I have for the Elife E9 if they ever produce it. Love my PURE XL and it shows rigth? Is far from perfect but I can take a bus from there to it. hahaha.
I would expect an E9 to be announced towards the end of June with a launch around September.
Given how things are rigth now it migth be something out of this world!!!?. I assume some kind of competition towards the Galaxy note 7 or such…
I would expect it to use one of the new Omnivision Pure Cell sensors.
I have a friend that works for Blu, he hooked me up with the hands on of the S8 at MWC. He said the Blu road map for 2016/2017 has both an S8 and E9 model. Most likely they will be called the Vivo 6 and Pure XL 2. But you never know with Blu when it comes to names. He said early estimates are around September for the Blu S8, and January for the E9.
There were any doubt about a gionee’s phone to be overpriced at launch? xD
Just wait for price drops and rebranded version: at that point gionee’s phones start to be a good choice!
