It’s been a while since we last heard from Alcatel (and TCL) but the brand are still in business and today have just announced news of a new all metal phone.
To the best of our knowledge this is the first all metal phone from Alcatel (in fact we don’t remember an Alcatel/TCL with even a metal chassis).
The new model will be called the Flash Plus 2 and will feature a 5.5-inch FHD OGS display, 3000mAh battery and fast charging technology.
Mediatek provide a Helio P10 chipset, and the phone will come in either 2GB + 16GB or 3GB + 32GB memory options, with both models having support for up to 128GB SD cards.
Gizchina News of the week
Like many other new smartphones the Alcatel Flash Plus 2 has a fingerprint scanner, this time in a physical button on the chin of the phone. There is also a 5 mega-pixel front camera and 13 mega-pixel rear with dual LED flash.
Pricing is actually very good with the phone costing from $160 for the basic version rising to only $190 for the 3GB RAM model. Best of all the Alcatel Flash Plus 2 will officially go on sale in the Philippines, Malaysia, Monaco and Thailand to start with other markets coming soon.
