Meizu are to join Samsung, Vivo and Blackberry with a curved display phone of their very own due in the 2nd half of this year.
Curved displays (like higher quality audio, and dual camera lenses) are features that we expect to see more of on phone in the coming months. China has already had its first curved phone in the form of the Vivo Xplay 5, but Huawei, Xiaomi and Meizu are rumoured to be not far off launching similar flagships.
Gizchina News of the week
Meizu bosses have already discussed a few details of the phone including that the name might be the Meizu Pro 6 Edge (although Meizu Pro 7 hasn’t been taken off the cards), that it will run Flyme 6, cost more than 3000 Yuan and likely launch in the 2nd half of the year.
The rest of the details are still up in the air including what processor might be used (a Samsung Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon 820 are the fore runners). but what we are sure of is that the image above is nothing more than a Photoshopped Xplay 5.
Is a curved display a feature you want on your next Chinese smartphone?
I definitely would like the Samsung Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon 820 in the Meizu Pro 6 Edge thats for sure.
The pic is a Meizu Pro 6 concept from a few months ago.

The chairman says wait for the beloved millet.
Well, tell the “chairman” to go f*** himself.
Exnyos maybe, SD820 most likely not.
