Seems like Cubot is really branching out with the scope of their production and now ventures even into the smart wearable land. The first step into it is pioneered by the Cubot V1 smartband, which will offer a display for showing the time and the values gathered from the pedometer, calory counter and other sensors, just like the Xiaomi MiBand 2.
Cubot V1 will have the same Bluetooth chip (Dialon DA14580) like the MiBand, so the full compatibility and strong connection is a given. Battery life should also be pretty long with the usage of the 80 mAh polymer battery and complex energy optimalizations and tweaks like the display turning fully on only upon touching. The company claims about 30 days of a possible standby time.
Gizchina News of the week
The new Cubot smartband is also equipped with the MMA8652 accelerometer for precise movement tracking. The band is made in cooperation with the german company Bayer and should be hypo-allergenic, permeable and knowing the Bayer ecology standpoint it’s also surely made properly with that in mind. Metal clasp will guarantee firm securing around the wrist so the smartband can sustain even some extreme sport activity. Cubot V1 will also be waterproof and dustproof and the charging is done through universal micro-USB port.
You can check how Cubot V1 looks and how it functions either in the following video or also here.
Considering they barely even show the product in that advert I think we can let that slip. This is clearly just for showing off the model they got for filming not the product.
I was about the ask the same question. You can probably get a test run with her before buying the band. 😛
Price?
That phone (cubot s9) is so sexy it can compete in a beauty contest with the girl in the video.
although i super doubdt the side bezels will be that thin apart from that the color is gorgeous and that front fingerprint design makes it stand out like a motherfu..
Yeah that’s for sure.
They’ll remove the bezels (almost) and instead we’ll get the black borders like letv 2 and others, but atleast the front is black.
And about the colour variety and the fingerprint design, I love ’em.
I just hope they don’t mess it up or over-price it.
What phone is that in the background?
I was about to ask the exact same thing! The top and chin look really small and front facing round fingerprint and the device itself looks really thin…
I think I want one haha
SD 823*
And it’s not a rumour, cubot themselves announced it officially, you can check their website http://www.cubot.net/smartphones/s9/
I’m definitely gonna buy it if they price it well, already SD 820 is selling kinda cheap (Zuk Z2)
was thinking the same thing. best design yet!!! want one
It is rumored with SD823. I am gonna say it’s more fantasy than reality given Cubot’s history.
as long as the design is real, im happy
They claim the S9 has a 5.4 inch display and 139mm comes out to 5.47 inches. I will be very surprised if this phone is actually 139mm. That would mean the first truly bezeless display. Also Cubot has never used a SD processor before. I am going to take this all with a huge grain of salt.
nah man they have used SD before

Every single phone they have ever made has been with a Mediatek processor. And usually it has been a budget processor. I find it highly suspicious that they will actually be using the future flagship from Qualcomm. More than likely the S9 will have a Helio P10.
cubot zorro 001, even elephone has used SD before, not saying you shouldnt be suspicious im just saying the have used SD before
1 phone out of about 30 and it was a budget SD401. Yea that does nothing to quell my suspicions.
maybe Cubot and Qualcomm began to cooperate,, maybe Cubot got the venture capital,,
It is possible but I highly doubt it.
Yeah, one very big grain of salt : )
It’s a shame that some Chinese manufacturers often resort to making fake renders of phones with tiny bezels, etc. It makes us questions everything…
I hope the S9 doesn’t disappoint.
I’m also expecting cubot s9 ,exciting !!!
I would hold back your excitement until it is officially released and in the hands of people outside the company. I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of disappointment with this device.
