4GB RAM Blackview R7 gets a pretty presale price tag of $169.99

Blackview may have shifted their focus on to budget (and rugged) phones of late, but that isn’t to say that the niche Chinese brand isn’t going to do flagship anymore.

The Blackview R7 is a phone that has been around for a while, without going on sale yet. Well, the good news is that the device is finally on pre-sale, with shipments set to commence 1st July.

The device comes with a neat set of specs, including: a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p display, MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 8 mega-pixel front facing camera, and a 3180mAh battery. Here’s a bit of a hands on video with the phone.

Blackview R7: Network Support

For $169.99, you can now pre-order the phone. It comes with support for network bands: on 4G: (FDD-LTE) B1/B3/B7/B8/B20, (TDD-LTE) B38/B39/B40/B41, 3G: WCDMA B1/B8 and finally 2G: GSM B2/B3/B5/B8.

Looks and sounds pretty ok for the price I guess. But the specs in the sales-link list the weight as 249 grams. I hope for Blackview’s sake that this is incorrect.

why can’t Chinese phone makers produce a phone with a dedicated micro-sd card slot anymore?
I need both dual sim and a sd card.

  Because they are at the impression that this is the new trend of smartphone designs.
  Moreover, they will have to make the battery removable in other to achieve that (which is not part of “the new trend”).

    not so. The Nubia Z9 Max has/had a side slot for the sim cards and just below another slot for the microSD card. Battery (and back) were not removable. I am in the same boat as Mik – I’m waiting for a decent phone with both, which is probably futile!

  They want to make the phones smaller and thinner and they can’t support all those 3 (2 SIM + 1 SD).

Nowaday Redmi Note 3 pro Prime with Snapdragon 650, 3 GB, 32 GB, Metal Case, FingerPrint sensor, etc etc already selling quite cheap $179.99 – $182.99
Again the price above is already for OVERSEA buyer and already include EMS shipping.
I am not even sure any smartphone with Mediatek P10 worth to buy if their price more than $130. And again Xiaomi build quality is FAR SUPERIOR than Blackview.
