It has long been rumoured that Xiaomi would release an updated Redmi 3S and today the phone finally goes on sale.
The upgraded Xiaomi Redmi 3S goes on sale today at the great price of only 699 Yuan.
For the new phone Xiaomi have equipped the Redmi 3S with an octacore Snapdragon 430 chipset, options for either 2GB or 3GB RAM (16GB-32GB memory), dual SIM support and a monster 4100mAh battery.
If dual SIMs are unnecessary then you can use just a single SIM and a micro SD card of up to 128GB in the phone instead.
Gizchina News of the week
Other features include a 5 mega-pixel front camera, 13 megapixel rear, 5-inch 1280 x 720 HD display and full metal body in either silver, grey or gold, plus like all good budget phones there is a fingerprint scanner on the rear for good measure.
Pricing starts at 699 Yuan for the 2GB + 16GB variant of the phone, while the 3GB + 32GB model comes in a 899 Yuan. Not a bad looking phone for the money and quite a bit more attractive than Meizu’s M3S.
How is this an upgraded version? Is the 430 better than 616?
https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/430 if you see there,you get octa-core CPU 1.4 max(less speed than 616),Adreno 505(which means much better visuals for games vs 616) and X6 LTE vs X5 which 616 has..more info https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/comparison
It’s actually pretty much renamed & a bit cut down S617.
How is it quite a bit more attractive than the Meizu? I’m actually asking not being sarcastic. The 2 are very similar. The ZTE Blade 2A at 599CNY would be more attractive than both. Or Lenovo with 1080p at this price.
Xiaomi vs Meizu has a bigger battery but slightly lower clocks at 1.4GHz and only Cat 4 LTE while MT6750 has cat 6.
@realjjj:disqus u STILL did not tell about what 360 launched yesterday ?!
It’s CAT 8 (Snapdragon) vs CAT 6 MTK.
SD430 is just Cat 4/5.
Are you sure about m3s dual band wifi?
can SOMEONE tell me how EXACTLY is THIS better than M3S ?!
battery?
Fingerprint location preference?
can u give more details ?
Rear scanner, shit!
Come on Xiaomi, put inside a Snapdragon 625 and increase the screen resolution to 1080P it will be a stellar phone especially for those who don’t have the money to get flagships!
you guys should have mentioned the energy density… man batteries are such a i dont give a crap feature that no one even bothers to mention the specs for batteries themselves
