For those of you who like to follow rumours you will already know about the possibility of a Xiaomi laptop, but could this mould finally be the definitive proof?
The Xiaomi laptop rumour has been in the making for years now, and even all the way back during the Xiaomi Mi3 launch the company themselves have joked about the idea, but recently things are starting to look more and more real.
First it was information from manufacturers in Xiaomi’s supply chain who leaked that the mobile technology maker were in fact making coming out with a laptop, and now it’s a leak from one of the factories themselves.
Gizchina News of the week
This image purports to show a mould used for stamping out the metal body of the Xiaomi laptop and clearly shows the famous ‘Mi’ logo in reverse.
Apparently this mould isn’t for the final production version but a trail run of the laptop which is expected to finally make an appearance this summer at a price of around 3000 Yuan.
According to news reports the Mi Laptop (Mi Book?) will come in two flavours, one with a 12.5-inch display, and a larger version with a 15-inch display. Both laptops are expected to ship with Windows 10, but on what processor we are not sure.
Or it’s just a piece of metal from a random factory
