Slim bezels are the flavour of the season. While some are doing it, some think they are doing it.
The newest brand to jump on to this bandwagon (kind of) happens to be iNew, who have just announced their new iNew U9. The phone is targeted at folks who are in the market looking for a budget phablet. By phablet, I don’t refer to a 5.5-inch phone — they’re the standard now. But instead, 6-inch.
The iNew U9 has an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels across its 6-inch display, and a 2.5D curved glass on top of it. Besides that, the phone is powered by the favourite budget SoC among Chinese makers, the quad-core MediaTek MT6735 along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB on-board ROM.
Gizchina News of the week
The phone will sell for a price of around $100 (hopefully below that), which makes its 3000mAh battery sound fairly good capacity. As for the camera segment on the U9, it has an 8 mega-pixel rear shooter paired with a 2 mega-pixel one on the front. Network support on the phone includes the following bands – FDD-LTE:B1/3/7/8/20, WCDMA: B1/8 and GSM: B2/3/5/8. The phone is expected to go on sale by the first week of next month. It’ll be available in four colors – Black, White, Gold and Rose Gold. Click pictures below to expand.
this is just the vkworld t6 with less ram and less rom!! So hell to the NOOOOO
Why do Inew insist on only producing ultra budget phones? They will always be remembered for the v3, gone backwards since then.
They used to be a good brand. At one point they were one of the better cheap brands to buy, along with iOcean and THL. All 3 have fallen from grace. The iNew V3 was one of the best budget phones ever created, most of us here had one at one point.
Lower the aperture the more light gets in. With smartphone cameras light is the single most important aspect to good pictures.
hmm… but i see major player like samsung using something like f/1.9
for 1/1.7 which means bigger aperture (the denominator is smaller , so larger aperture size , right ?
any idea why big companies like samsung would be using the odd option when the opposite has so many OBVIOUS benefits ?!
Samsung uses what works for them and works with their setup, can’t really argue with them given that they are currently one of the class leaders for camera. Huawei uses a f/2.2 with the P9 but it still takes excellent pictures because the second monochrome sensor is great in low light. Aperture is very important but it is still only one of many components that make up a smartphone camera.
hmm… i have heard the last sentence at least 3-4 times from you 😀
i hope im not getting on your nerves 😀 (i’d like a lecture on how the whole camera is developed. but i bet i’ll have to complete my degree first 😀 ? )
