Another batch of UMI London information just arrived at our doorstep so we can share more about this entry level device specifications.
Lately even the budget models are presented and marketed as all-round durable and well equpped devices and UMI London is no exception to this rule. Of course the quality of the materials and hardware components are restricted by the aggresively low price tag, but still is the London trying to offer something extra.
That extra is the “DG Twin-Shield Technology” devoloped directly by UMI and combining two techniques : dual 2,5D enhanced protective glass and “3N pressure absorptíon tape” offering 0.23mm pressure absorption layer to help mitigate possible strong impact. UMI claims that with such technology London can survive a 6 meter fall without any problems, but i wouldn’t honestly recommend trying that 🙂
Hardware specs include 5-inch SHARP IPS display with HD resolution, quad-core MT6580 processor clocked at 1,3 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB of storage, rear 8 Mpix shooter with Sony IMX149 sensor, front selfie 2 Mpix cam, alluminum alloy body, 2050 mAh battery capacity and pre-installed Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
As you can see nothing out of ordinary hiding inside and fully justifying the low $69.99 price tag.
