K7000 – Oukitel is working on ultra thin model with a massive battery

Do you think that phone equipped with a massive battery must be a thick monster ? Well Oukitel engineers clearly don’t and soon they are planning to convince us about their vision.

The planned device will be most probably named as Oukitel K7000 and thickness just 4 mm with gigantic 7000 mAh sounds like a sci-fi to me. Are they really trying to challenge the Gionee phones famous for their ultra slim record design ?

Gizchina News of the week

Nothing is official yet, but reliable sources are really hinting about a 4 mm thin Oukitel K7000 with 7000 mAh battery, 5-inch display with HD resolution and Android 6.0 Marshmallow pre-installed. The device should be revealed somewhere in July so not a long wait ahead theoretically.

Until we see the phone with our own eyes it’s hard to full believe such words so we have to wait and try to figure out how the heck would they be able to fit that massive battery into such a thin body…

4mm on the thinnest side (frame) and probably 8mm normal thickness. But 4mm and 7000mah is a big lie. Unless screen to body ratio will be like 58% meaning ridiculously large bezels. Even at that 4mm is not “do-able”.

    In 2016 not possible.

Though it’s good they now realise they make bulky phones. They better adjust.

Karel Balac is the dumbest tech journalist I have ever seen. Why GizChina even hired him ? ? ?

If it wasn’t him to write all of those ads, it would be someone else… Don’t be so pissed, it’s something gizchina need in order to make some money and keep things going… At least lately he started to put some sarcasm into what he write…

“4mm” may be for each side bezel… Still a better job than letv’s black borders ?

i guess most people dont understand what mah means, but anyways i will be the fool to have hope in this anyways its not those “sensible” people who make breakthroughs in science, its the fools who believe in the impossible that make it happen

4mm is too thin for a phone anyway. It won’tt feel like an actual phone in your hands. It will feel too flimsy. One of those devices you won’t want to put into pants pocket.

7000mAh battery with 4mm thickness, is crazy! If the battery is real, maybe the phone will be huge and that’s worse than the thickness…

It will probably be 4mm at the edge where it is metal. The overall thickness will more be like 8-9mm right at the center of the back (at least if it is 5- 5.5). We’ve seen this before where they just name the thickness they wish to see, not what we all see of find real. 8mm would be perfectly fine.

So lets wait and see. I am sure there are 7000mAh by now that might fit a 5.5 – 6 inch phone. Or somebody has a groundbreaking way to make the density a lot higher (but I’ve not heard of that yes).

To be fair, every company lie that way: they advise “7mm thick phone” like the 1-2mm protruding camera does not count ?

I know. But before people bash along I wanted to clarify that Oukitel (and others) have a different view of things when they claim stuff like that. If you are aware of that then your expectations are channelled in a way better manner.
