We have already covered the first pieces of informationa about the upcoming Oukitel U13 Pro model, but today’s press release is confirming even the full metal body for the phone with similar design and build choices as for example the iPhone 6s.
It’s well documented that the full metal body of a phone can be a big obstacle for the quality of signal reception and that’s why most of the manufacturers are trying to tweak the design with plastic stripes over the antennas or even full plastic sections of the upper or lower back cover. Only handful of manufacturers including the likes of Apple of HTC mastered the full metal build with minimum of plastic parts and Oukitel is trying hard to join such a good company.
Gizchina News of the week
How are they trying to achieve that ? Well with nano-injections for the segments B and D on the following picture while keeping the rest of the body made from the aircraft grade aluminum alloy. We shall see if the antennas are going to be properly handled too and the whole quality reception angle valid. Last piece of good news is the fact that even with the full metal body the Oukitel U13 Pro should have only 156,7 grams of weight.
Metal phones are getting so boring now, they all look the same and all have the same colors. Time for a new fad.
The black color on metal phones, not that popular and its looks nice
I wouldn’t mind if people did different colors but almost every phone is either Silver, Gold or Rose Gold. I would love to see some copper, titanium, black or colors. I love the Mocha Brown Mate 8.
Yeah , the same colors all long.
But as black i see it wonderul choice, luxury, elegant … vernee also offer it.on apollo lite and its looks awesome.
Vernee is more of a dark gray similar to the Meizu Pro 6 and Nexus 6P but it does look good.
ulefone Metal seemingly used the black metal design.
We have to wait until someone comes up with something new, then apple will cop…ehm… “be the first one ever to use it (in the same exact way someone else did before)”, and there we have it, a new standard!
However, yep, it’s getting more boring every week… I’d rather go back to plastic construction for the advantages it used to had until a couple of years ago…
well we have carbon fiber, ceramic and graphene as possible candidates i guess we just have to wait a little bit, i can see ceramic being a thing the quickest we just need mass production
Where is Bud Spencer?
He’s around just not as much.
Metal phones feel great, especially holding cold metal early in the morning 🙂
It`s like it`s not a phone, but a sword! 😀
I like metal phones I’m just sick of the same boring colors and the carbon copy HTC design.
Glass panels are really slippery. For me the best is hard plastic for the back and a thick metal frame around it.
Depends on the phone, I had the Gionee S5.5 which was Gorilla Glass front and back and it wasn’t too slippery. In fact my metal MX5 was more slippery. The Gionee also had the best built quality of any phone I ever owned. That thing was a tank.
specs ?
If they manage to fit 4000mAh+ battery in it, they’ve got my attention. That with at least a decent mid range processor, 3GB RAM (or more) and Storage of 64GB or more, Dual SIM and we have a deal.
First, watch my review of the K6000 Pro, fresh as of an hour ago 😀

Now, my thoughts on the leaked U13:
Oukitel will probably go with P10 or 6753 again(hope the first not the latter).
It seams they are trying to do something new with their next lineup(like the K7000 which could prove a big hit or fail miserably, but at least they are trying something different)
Hope this has something neat and useful up it`s sleeve.
I would love a K6000 Pro inside a metal body, with slimmer bezels and the faster P10 inside, I would sacrifice battery to 4500mAh to make those changes, and would still get a great phone.
