Xiaomi’s been rather proactive with its Redmi series phones this past year or so. The Redmi Note 3 is already one of the most successful phones this year, and from the info coming out of China, there’s a successor already in the waiting.
The Redmi Note 4 is a phone that has been leaked before. It’s being said that it’ll be the first Xiaomi phone with a dual rear camera setup, an arrangement that’s becoming increasingly popular of late.
Continuing the legacy, the Redmi Note 4 will have a MediaTek Helio X20 processor (at least in China). This will come along with 3GB RAM and 64GB ROM, according to leaks. There’s no word on whether there’ll also be a 4GB RAM version.
Gizchina News of the week
A 4100mAh battery will continue to power the phone, along with a 5 mega-pixel camera on the front. The rear sensor (main) is expected to be a 13 mega-pixel unit, with no info on the secondary sensor.
Xiaomi have shaped the budget market with the Redmi series – starting from the Hongmi back in the day to the Redmi Note 3, more recently. It’ll be interesting to see if the Redmi Note 4 does actually ship with a dual-rear camera setup; I personally wouldn’t bet my money on that happening.
The phone is expected to launch on the 27th of this month, i.e., less than 10 days from now. So, stay tuned!
Another Catchy Title to make people come to this “article”…
How can you say “Dual Camera” on the title when there is no indication of such thing, specially that you say it yourself in the post…
The leaks say that it will have a dual rear camera (we’ve already posted one article about it).
To answer you in a simple manner:
Leaks: Redmi Note 4 will have dual camera
Me (opinion): it won’t.
Right. It totally won’t. It is very easy to see in that photo that the camera has been very badly photoshopped onto the finger print sensor. (look at the edges of the circle)
but but .. i don’t care about what you think 😀
i just want cheap dual cams !!!
Because there are pics of the rear with what it seems a dual camera set up… Personally (and, I think, yash too) I wouldn’t bet on an actual dual camera set up, I’d think it’s more of a single camera plus a fingerprint scanner below, but for now all we have is rumors, and all of those rumors are pointing in that direction… What can they do other than report them?!
THEY ARE DUAL CAMS… don’t you dare say otherwise !
i have WAITED an ETERNITY for cheap dual cams … *evil laughter*
Could be because of the numerous Weibo leaks that show a phone with dual cameras like this one below. Now whether it really will have dual cameras is up for debate but the current leaks suggest it will.

Hope there will be Redmi note 4 pro with Snapdragon 652 or better SOC.
Not really a mediatek fans so yeah i am biased LOL
maybe for india because of the whole mediatek situation
i’ll PERSONALLY wait for the SD 652 edition 😀
altho x20 deca-core doesn’t sound THAT bad …
You guys only report on Meizu and Xiaomi at this point. Every rumor,or almost. You haven’t reported yet that they’ll launch a toothbrush tonight but other than that….
Lenovo, Huawei, TCL, ZTE, Gionee and many others barely get a mention anymore. Except for that 1 Lenovo that has been launched at least 3 times so far lol.
ZTE, Huawei and 360 had launches in the last few days, TCL a couple of weeks ago.Lenovo launched a few and some more to come, Gionee has the M6 and M6 Plus on the 26th. The first Helio P20 showed up on GFXBench, nobody ca be bothered. Softbak buys ARM, not in your league.
It wasn’t like this 1-2 years ago.
i also criticize gizchina for this, maybe on their side of the story they are thin on employees, but they seem to miss some real huge news about 360 etc and it SEEMS cause i dont know if they read your post but its like they are not taking heed
