Notice how the headline doesn’t even mention the phone in question. Why that is, you wonder? It’s because it doesn’t matter; you first need to build the brand value for that to happen.
Zopo seem a little oblivious of that. The company held a launch event in India earlier today, where they announced the Speed 8. Interestingly, the phone will cost 29,999 INR ($450), which is 2,000 INR over the asking price of the OnePlus 3.
The Zopo Speed 8 comes with the 10-core MediaTek MT6797 and has 4GB of RAM. A 5.5-inch FHD display headlines the show, and is supported by a 21 mega-pixel rear camera and an 8 mega-pixel front.

Zopo Speed 8 Hands On: Here
While Android 6.0 out of the box and a 3,600mAh battery seem like nice additions, little do they justify the asking price. All of which makes the Speed 8 sound like a phone that’s made to create some noise than anything else.
Speaking of Zopo, it’s been a long time since we’ve seen something noteworthy from them. Here’s hoping they go back to the drawing board and come back with full force later this year.
Are you really bring apple into the thread? Because it’s a different thing on so many levels I don’t think I even need to explain it any further… It’s like we are talking about bananas and you bring out tomatoes: it’s still something to eat, but it’s a totally different thing
Are the Tomatoes whole or in a sauce? If they are whole give me the bananas. But if it it’s in a sauce with some garlic in penne, well then it’s game over.
lol well, you know, I’m italian and I know how to cook: I can give you an hell of a dinner with both whole tomatoes and sauce, so what I’d chose is not even a question (funnily enough, right now I’m heading to my grandma’s house to make a literal year worth of sauce starting from a lot of crates of whole tomatoes, which we use to make the real south-italian “sugo” ?)
I make my own sauce with tomatoes, parsley, basil and oregano my grandmother grows in her backyard. The only thing I get from the store is the garlic lol. She even makes the pasta for me.
Looks tasty! ?
Instead we make a “base” sauce with a long and complicated process, using a peculiar machine to mix the tomatoe pulp (hope that’s the right word) with basil and onion, then we fill 200/300/600 bottles (depending on many factors) with this and then use it throughout the year to cook in different ways… Hard work, but it’s overall worth it! ?
PS: in case you haven’t already, ask your grandma to teach you how to make pasta… That’s a precious thing, something passing down from generation to generation throughout centuries… A tradition worth maintaining :’)
Only idiots and rich-no-care people will buy Speed 8 on that price. Staying on the ground this phone worth 250USD.
With the Le 2 available for even lesser than that, I’d be surprised if people bought this even for 250.
250USD is being waaaaaaay to generous!
Even for just the hardware it’s too much money…
But then you also need to consider Zopos extremely poor software engineering and after sales support which should make it in my books -250USD
Yep that’s right, they should pay us to take their sh!t!
While I would never personally buy a Zopo for that much I am sure there are people who will out there, doesn’t mean they are rich or an idiot. I have paid a lot of money for Vivo, Oppo, Huaweii and Gionee phones in the past that had similar specs to phones that costs hundreds less. People will pay $700 for a Galaxy that has similar specs to current $400 phones.
I think Zopo is crazy because I don’t like the brand, but there are Zopo fans who will buy it.
Yeah but too bad there are a lot of idiot ZOPO fanboys outside that willing to pay their outrageous price.
Low specs + Non Existence support + High Price = ZOPO
