Chuwi Vi10 Plus coming on July 25th for $169/$239

The new 3:2 aspect ratio 2in1 tablet from Chuwi finally has an official release date and the wait is actually not going to be that long. The Chuwi Vi10 Plus should be released on July 25th and the pricing seems pretty competitive.

Chuwi Vi10 Plus will have the 3:2 10,8-inch screen with 1920 x 1280 pixel resolution and 450 nit brightness, Chuwi claim it’s the same panel used in Microsoft Surface 3. Hardware inside is a bit worse than the Surface tho, because i have a strong feeling that the announced Intel Atom X5 is once again the weakest Z8300. Tablet will be available in two configurations, the cheaper 2 GB RAM/32 GB ROM and 4 GB RAM/64 GB version. 8400 mAh Li-Pol battery, USB 3.0 Type-C and 5V/3A fast charge support are quite nice stat lines though.

The dimensions are 276.4 x 184.8 ‌x 8.8mm and 686 g for the tablet, of course without the optional detachable magnetic suction keyboard. The keyboard dock looks pretty basic, but still it’s pretty much a mandatory accessory to get for every user. The lower spec version is coming with Windows 10 pre-installed as the OS, but the higher one gets a dual boot with Windows 10/Remix OS 2.0, You can flash the dual boot image manually even on the lower one though.

As for the pricing the 2GB/32GB version should be available for $169 and the more powerful 4GB/64GB for $239. That’s not bad, but you still need to factor in the price for the keyboard dock and big question is how the resellers will “enhance” the projected retail price.

everybody say that Intel Atom X5 and Z8300 specially is one of the weakest cpu and still most companies keep use it
that is just stupid- no body wants that Atom X5 cpu

  And again i can only guess that Intel got a bunch of excess stocks for their Z8300 that they just selling at very cheap prices.
  I don’t think it is a good idea to buy any gadget (Smartphones /tablet, etc) with Intel Atom Atom SOC as recently intel already announced they quit their ATOM low-power chip business.

why freaking nobody has put Snapdragon 820 to a tablet? 820 is even faster than CoreM (geekbench) having 500gflops GPU whilephone makers already managed to put it into 270 dollar phone

  I might be wrong but Snapdragon is ARM based SOC and windows 10 doesn’t have support for ARM. So only x86 processor is supported.
  The only solution for this problem is only IF microsoft changed their Windows 10 programming code to run under ARM platform that i highly doubt they can do it in nearby date.

  Ah i think i misunderstood your question.
  You are asking why no vendor put SD 820 inside their released tablet.
  I try again to answer, Qualcomm licensing is damn freakin’ expensive, this is why a lot of china vendors choose NOT to use snapdragon inside their product.

The Cube Iwork10 Ultimate 64GB http://goo.gl/FZCB01 IMO is about the best cheap 10 incher. I have the Hi10 also but cube is all round better. It fulfills my needs of browsing, sending emails and streaming porn while traveling very well. When not on the road its my bedside Kodi centre. I watch porn mostly
