Gionee will be launching their latest pair of smartphones on July 26th with at least one model boasting a 6020mAh battery.
Gionee’s newest smartphone will arrive on the 26th July in both standard M6 and M6 Plus versions, and will include battery sizes of up to 6020mAh and a dedicated security chipset set to make it one of the most secure phones on the market.
With enhanced security the Gionee M6 range should offer better protection over your smartphone, and more importantly apps and accounts that are connected to it (including bank accounts) than any other smartphone previously launched.
These images of the phone come just after a TENAA document was published showing specifications for the phones.
Gizchina News of the week
Apparently the standard M6 will have a 5000mAh battery wile the M6 Plus will have a 6020mAh battery. It’s expected that both versions of the phone will come with a Mediatek Helio P10 chipset, 5.5-inch display, 4GB RAM, 8 mega-pixel front camera and 13 mega-pixel rear.
4 memory options are expected to be available from 32GB, all the way up to 128GB plus Android 6.0 will come as standard.
We’ll have more details of the Gionee M6 range of phones soon, but so far what do you think of this big battery bruiser?
6k mah!? that’s crazy. the phone could probably last for 2 days on average usage. haha. But it’s p10 tho, would be better if it’s p20.
“…but *insert chipset name* isn’t the best choice, *insert name of the following chip in the line, not lanched yet* would be better”… With this mindset, no phone would ever come out (“mi5 will come with sd820, but the sd830 would be better”)
I understand what you mean by “with this mindset no phone will come out” but the diff is 830 is not available then so Mi 5 went for the best available chipset which was the 820 at that time. but p20 is available now. So, why go for the successor p20 rather than the predecessor?
What are you talking about?! P20 is by no mean available yet, in the best case it’s expected to go under mass production during Q4, so we’ll probably see no actual phone with that chip shipped before december/january!
I don’t think so. Mediatek themselves confirmed that it’ll be in mobile phones in the 2nd half of 2016 and there are already manufacturers benchmarking with the P20 in their latest device out there. One of the 1st is the Coolpad A9S-9. News source says to expect a p20 phone being released in the coming weeks
I wouldn’t be that optimistic about timing.
Yes there is one leak but it usually takes at least 2-3 months from the first leak to products in retail.
