CM13 test version ready for the Elephone P9000 a P9000 Lite models

Roughly a month ago Elephone announced that they are working on a beta version of the famous CyanogenMod 13 for their P9000 model. And seems like that with the help of a russian developers they have successfuly overcome the obstacles like the problem with network connection and the beta version is out not just for the P9000, but also for the P9000 Lite.

Most of the bugs in the beta are already solved and fixed, but not everything and the version still struggles with tethering, GPS accuracy and memory optimizations. But they are still working on that so hopefully soon everything will be ironed out fully.

If you would still be interested to install the CM13 beta nonetheless you can download it here for the Elephone P9000 and here for the Elephone P9000 Lite. Your participation would surely help them in discovering new bugs and providing feedback.

The download links are already available but I found that tethering is also not working, hope the developers will fix it soon.

Here’s the thing:
Many of these CM builds are nothing but Franktenstein builds, where they cook the stock kernel and the CM ROM together. If you don’t see a link to source code with device tree and kernel, then it’s not a true CM build. The whole point of CM is that anyone can pick it up, and keep it going and make improvements to it. That’s not the case with these ROMs. It’s going to be abandoned, with performance lacking and bugs throughout.
GizChina I wish in the future you will distinguish between true CM builds and these Frankenstein builds, for fear of potential customers being duped into buying something that it’s not.
