The Mi Notebook and Mi Note 2 are two of Xiaomi’s upcoming devices that seem to have everyone excited and eager for their launches, and according to popular analyst Pan Jiutang, we won’t have to wait very long for one of these devices.
Pan went to Weibo to announce that the Mi Note 2 will be launched in August, which matches up with what was said by Xiaomi Co-founder Liwan Jiang. This does give the announcement a bit more authenticity, though this still hasn’t officially been confirmed so I’d recommend taking this news with a pinch of salt.
The Mi Note 2 is expected to have a Snapdragon 821 chipset along with a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED touchscreen, either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal memory. The device will also supposedly have a 12MP main camera, a large 3700mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner on the front of the device.
In other news, the Mi Notebook has appeared in a report claiming that Xiaomi is only expecting ship 300,000 units this year, down from the original amount which was one million units. This is apparently due to the device being delayed and postponed multiple times this year.
The Mi Notebook is expected to start shipping by the end of the month, and will reportedly come in 12.5-inch and 13-inch variants. What do you make of this news? Tell us in the comments below.
Yes, I also want to see the specs. I own a Lenovo Y700 with 17,3″, but for holidays a smaller screened device would be perfect.
