OnePlus 3 headed for Malaysia, arrives 9th August

OnePlus 3 Review

The OnePlus 3 is a very powerful phone with 6GB of RAM. It is now headed for the Malaysian phone market.

Buyers in Malaysia will be able to purchase the phone starting the 9th of August exclusively via Lazada Malaysia. The device gets a 1,888 RM ($465) price tag in Malaysia.

Interestingly, the (coveted?) Gold version of the OnePlus 3 is expected to become available in Malaysia 9th August onwards, alongside the Graphite version. That’s not it, buyers will also get a free Flip Case for the phone along with every purchase — perhaps a bid to try and justify the ~$65 price top when compared to the $399 international price.

If you don’t wish to wait till the 9th of August, you can go ahead and pre-order the OnePlus 3 for yourself from Lazada. It comes with a Snapdragon 820 processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB ROM, a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080p pixels, 16 mega-pixel camera and a 3000mAh battery. Yeah, I’m still contemplating whether I should change my Gold Mi5 to Gold OP3 when it reaches here..

Honestly, sticking with the Mi5 is probably fine. There isn’t any significant advantage to having the OP3 over the Mi5, and the OP3’s price in Malaysia is painfully inflated. Might as well go for the Huawei P9 at that price since it’s just an extra RM100-200.

Yeah, I was just thinking that the Mi5 holds itself pretty well. might as well wait on the next gen. No point paying the extra for a OP3 now. Just the custom development support that OP3 has currently that is itching me to give it a thought. haha
