If you were one of the Meizu fans left reeling after last weeks news that the Pro 7 won’t have a Exynos chips then you are going to find these Meizu E Series renders very exciting.
It looks like Meizu have made a full move over to Mediatek for their MX and Pro range of phones, at least this is what it sounds like after news the Pro 7 would likely feature a Helio X30 was leaked last week, but this isn’t to say Samsung chips will never show up in a Meizu again.
No, in fact the next Samsung powered Meizu might be closer to reality than you expect and could also introduce the smartphone industry to a new range of Meizu flagship.
We woke this morning to see renders of a new E Series phone from Meizu with distinctly flagship properties; dual cameras? Check, curved display? Check, Powerful Samsung Exynos chipset? Check!
Gizchina News of the week
Apparently the first of the Meizu E phones will use a Samsung Exynot 8890 chipset to run all those goodies, and it seems highly likely the phone will run a serious amount of RAM and internal storage. Details of phones build materials haven’t been released yet, but expect a similar all metal construction to current Meizu phones, with space for a physical home button/fingerprint scanner and decent size battery.
The Meizu E could be the most exciting Meizu for sometime and what’s more we might only have to wait until the 10th August for the launch of the handset!
What do you think of this latest Meizu phone? Could the rumours and renders really be true?
Yep, but in the recent past we’ve seen better, and this rumor keeps spreading every week so, in the end, I guess there’s going to be a meizu edge eventually
There are more credible rumors that this E is P10 based.
Curved should come but i don’t believe it’s now for Meizu. Sadly phone makers will likely use it to reach higher prices and it won’t be fun.We won’t see a curved Xiaomi at 1999CNY.
Now that I think about, yesterday I’ve seen a leak picture of a so-called meizu M1E, but there was only the back… Maybe things are linked
Likely but nothing is certain yet.
I’m more curious if they launch a watch, just to see what OS they use.
That’s a thing: they have so much os to choose from! If it’s ready, I’d bet 1$ (not more, not less) on the yun os
Not sure if YunOS supports real watches yet.TencentOS has some wins but doesn’t seem likely and Android Wear in China is complicated as it’s not open source yet., Maybe it’s Android with their own skin but they would have no apps -not that apps are that important in watches.
maybe this is finally where meizu get it right ?
Without a home button it’s just another phone. The home button makes Meizu unique, plus its functionality is built into Flyme.
now… i mean overall phone spec.
maybe something people will react rather positively to…
That’s their biggest problem as it makes them boring, their devices worse ( ergonomics, looks and originality) and limits their design options.
If you put a big fat turd in the middle of a plate, nobody will notice the food around it. Except the people that like to eat big fat ….. and there are some of those too.
yuck !
but fair enough .. maybe if meizu thought this way , they could easily turn their fortunes around. oh well , its the great thinkers on whom the world has advanced…
