Xiaomi’s newest release in the Indian market is the Redmi 3s, which comes in a ‘Prime’ flavour besides the regular version.
News is that 90,000 of those (Prime) were sold in less than 8 minutes. It was none other than Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain who revealed the news bit.
Xiaomi phones are known to sell out in a matter of seconds. However, it’s been a while since headlines like those made to the front page very often.

The Redmi 3s comes with a Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB or 3GB RAM (Prime), and continues the tradition of large battery, as seen on the Redmi Note 3 as well. The version that sold 90,000 units according to Xiaomi was the Prime variant, which is the costlier of the two. The phone went on sale yesterday, via mi.com as well as Flipkart.
“We did a launch sale without registration for the first time ever, as we were confident that we had a significant volume with more than 90,000 units. However, I am extremely humbled and at the same time stumped by the incredible response we have got for Redmi 3S Prime,” said Manu, corresponding to BGR India.
