LeEco have become unstoppable in the smartphone world and are teasing another new handset that would bring a new record amount of RAM with it.
It’s become quite common to see flagship phones of 2016 with 4GB RAM, and there are even a handful with 6GB RAM, but what about 8GB? Well that’s the number LeTV could have settled on with their new LeEco Le2S handset.
Exposed in leaked hands on photos this morning, the Le2S is said to have a single camera design, but double the amount of RAM of most other flagship phones. The 8GB RAM will be plugged in to a powerful Snapdragon 821 chipset, and will have around 64GB internal memory on offer.
Gizchina News of the week
The images of the LeEco Le2S show a phone that looks very similar to current LeTV phones with 5.5-inch display and 2.5D curved panel.
There are no images of the chin of the phone so we don’t know if the new phone will get a chin mounted fingerprint scanner or retain the old rear mounted solution.
Yes, agree with you for this white version. But imagine if it came in black: I think that would look pretty good.
i hope that this time it will have 3.5mm jack and FM radio and gorilla glass- those are the only things that miss, and why people still dont want to buy this phone.
Seems like you don’t do your own research. Redmi Note 3 Pro has a glass which is even stronger than gorilla glass 4. There is a great phone from xiaomi, better than redmi note 3. You should check redmi pro. It even has an oled display. About the gpu being terrible… please tell me why do you even care about that? I mean there were no high end games released for past few years. If there was, maybe 1 or 2. At this moment there is no need for that much gpu power.
with Xiaomi Redmi Pro, they add back the 3.5mm jack, that good, so FM radio will probably work,
but can you tell me the glass they are using, if as you say is better then gorilla glass.
ps. people say gorilla glass 4 breaks easily ,thats why Corning has a new gorilla glass 5
Redmi note 3 pro has a 3.5mm jack too with working radio. Gorilla glass 4 doesn’t break easily, unless you are dropping it on purpose many times. I’ve had my redmi note 3 fall on the ground from 1.5m flat on screen, but it somehow still survived. Gorilla glass 5 is only available for galaxy note 7 and we still have no good drop tests. I believe that gorilla glass 5 phones will only appear on cheaper devices in 2017. I will quote something from quora about how strong is glass on xiaomi redmi note 3:
“Screen durability is typically measured by the Vicker’s Hardness Test, which produces a result known as Diamond Pyramid Hardness (DPH).
Redmi Note 3 display glass achieves a DPH range of 649 – 670 kgf/mm2 .
Corning Gorilla Glass 4 only scores a Vickers Hardness Test DPH of 596 kgf/mm2.
The reason it’s a range and not a specific number is because Xiaomi sources the glass used on the Redmi Note 3 from several suppliers”
I’ve actually seen other even more detailed scores, but can’t seem to find them now.
Actually Gorilla 4 can shatter easily. It is just really hard to scratch.
Who’s that stupid to measure graphics power by GFLOPS? Check core count. core speed and all that stuff not only GFLOP count. Tegra K1 has 1TFLOP, does that mean that it’s 6 times stronger? It performs better than Adreno 510 and almost the same as Helio x25. Helio x20 has 20% better gpu/cpu performance and it doesn’t overheat like redmi note 3 with snapdragon. Also helio x20 is much more battery efficient. Helio x25 is even stronger. PLEASE DO YOUR FUCKING RESEARCH BEFORE COMMENTING YOUR BULLSHIT.
It’s not Dragontrail. WTF are you talking about? Xiaomi is using a nonbranded solution from a few manufacturers, but it’s stronger than gorilla glass 4. Just because someone said that without any kind of knowledge, doesn’t mean the phone actually uses it.
The only thing Hugo said was it isn’t Gorilla. The only other player that does better than a tempered glass is Dragontrail. Scratch tests have already confirmed it is identical to Dragontrail.
Dragontrail isn’t really strong. I see that you can’t prove anything and you are baselessly writing stuff. Here you go http://en.miui.com/thread-243271-1-1.html
Also there are lots of videos doing scratch tests. The phone holds about as much as gorilla glass 4.
You are right, Note 3 is cheap and you should buy a real phone. Ditch Xiaomi and it’s exploding batteries before you burn your house down.
Note 3 is cheap but really great. The screen is better than gorilla glass 4. About the exploding batteries. It exploded because of using not safe charger, in an unknown rom, with unknown kernel modifications. If battery explodes it’s 99.99% user at fault. I don’t know if you are a troll or something, but please stop.
It isn’t but it doesn’t matter when you put the mandatory screen protector on it. The problem is Xiaomi uses cheap batteries that swell and explode. Mi4c with swollen battery sits in front of my face.
… xiaomi uses high quality samsung batteries even in their cheapest phones. You really have the same phone which only once exploded for another person. Like i’d delieve that crap. GTFO troll.
Actually they use reject LG batteries and stop cursing like a little kid.
To me it seems like you’re a little kid. All your ignorant talk shows me even more how much of a troll you are. You don’t do any research, baselessly write stuff, pretend to have a phone which you don’t have, bash xiaomi for nothing. For that price you get a much better phone than you actually should and you can still complain. I’m not going to reply you anymore since your ignorant nature will never change.
If you want to be taken seriously quit cursing like a little child and talk like an adult. I have a Mi4c sitting here with a swollen reject battery that could explode at any time. You can see me posting on XDA with it months ago so proof is there.
Checked your XDA and didn’t find any posts related to your swollen battery. Can you link me to these posts? And I honesly think that you shouldn’t compare a year old device to a newer one. You may have the phone, but it doesn’t prove me that there is something wrong with it. Even if there is something wrong with it, you must have used bad cables or chargers because that doesn’t happen for no reason.
Only USB C cable I had was the one it came with. Who are you that I have to prove anything? That’s right, nobody.
If you can’t prove anything then i’ll consider everything about your swollen battery false. And you actually admitted that you used only USB C cable that came with it. Even if the battery was swollen, it probably was your fault picking a bad charger for it. About proving stuff. You stated that the battery is swollen, linked me to non-existent posts in XDA and now ask me who am I to ask for proof? It all means that what you wrote is bullsh*t. Your battery probably isn’t swollen.
