Gionee teases its front-flash enabled S6s selfie phone

OPPO isn’t the only Chinese phone maker doing selfie phones. Or selfie experts… whatever you like to call them. Gionee are set to announce the S6s, another selfie-centric phone with a front flash.

The selfie junta is usually in two minds when it comes to front flash. While some feel it washes away the ‘natural’ look, others think it’s a valuable addition to any smartphone.

Coming back to the Gionee S6s, the phone is now set to be announced in India on the 22nd of August. According to Android Authority, invites for the same have already been sent out to the media, but we haven’t received one yet.

Anyway, the phone is expected to feature a spec sheet similar (or perhaps identical) to that of the S6 Pro, which is powered by the MediaTek Helio P10 processor, and has 4GB RAM. It also has a 13 mega-pixel rear camera and an 8 mega-pixel front snapper, along with a 3130mAh battery.
