The Xiaomi Mi 5 has been short of revelation, which is something we’ve learnt to expect from Xiaomi. The phone, after first going on sale around 6 months back, is receiving a price cut in China.
The Mi 5 comes in a few different variants, differing in spec and pricing. However, Xiaomi have given each version is price cut of 200 yuan, which translates roughly to $30.
In effect, this means the Xiaomi Mi 5 in its base 3GB RAM 32GB ROM version is now available for 1799 yuan ($270); 3GB/64GB version for 2099 yuan ($315), and lastly, the Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro with 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM for 2499 ($375).
Gizchina News of the week
The not-so-flagship Xiaomi Redmi 3X also got a price cut along with it’s flagship cousin. It can now be had for 799 yuan ($120) by folks in China.
We weren’t as impressed as we expected with the Mi 5. However, with a starting price of $270, does the device sound like something you could consider now?
the black mi5 is really beautiful..i jsut wish that the 64gb model would already offer 4gb ram..3gb of ram is really jsut kinda outdated this year (for flagships)
else the mi5 would be my go to phone..as the le max 2 is a bit big..and the camera on the zuk z2 isnt the best either but comes with tons of storage and ram for a cheap price 🙁
My dear u need to get MIUI Rom Device, best specs cannot help if OS is bad. THx dear
You can’t sell MIUI around here. It’s like trying to sell an Elephone product.
yes but also has a worse camera and the back scratches more easily..its also a bit blocky 🙁 dunno
