The Chuwi Hibook is an interesting 2in1 tablet device and in the next few days we will be able to bring the long overdue review for it. But wheels are turning in the meantime and Chuwi have already a successor ready to be launched. Or rather an updated version, the Chuwi HiBook Pro.
Gizchina News of the week
Chuwi HiBook Pro should bring to the table mainly the upgrades for the display, the 10,1-inch one screen gets the 2K resolution with 2560×1600 pixels and finally OGS fully laminated one this time . Rest of the specs stay more or less the same with Intel Atom X5 (once again surely the Z8300), 4 GB RAM, 64 GB of storage, USB Type-C port, full metal body only 8,5 mm thin, 550g of weight and dual boot system Android 5.1 / Windows 10. At least the battery capacity gets bumped up to 8000 mAh with 5V/3A quick charger.
The HiBook Pro will be launched on August 22nd with a retail price of $249 and we shall see if the better (but more power hungry) display is worth the extra 50 bucks over the vanilla HiBook.
Z8300, the last word I have read… F*ck You China! Why not use better SoC? Whats the problem with Z8700 anyway? Maybe make better quality batteries and not remarked 8000mAh (real 6000mAh)… Shame and Z8300 for 250USD? LOL
x1000!
They are too stupid to pay an extra 10$ for parts and demand a premium 20$ on the final price.
Don’t ask me why…
I waited too long and went for an xPeria Z3 tablet. It’s a Snapdragon 801 but it simply flies in image editing.
