New OnePlus headphones hinted for 25th August

OnePlus might be out of the mid-range phone game, but they aren’t intending to give up on audio accessories anytime soon.

OnePlus have already released the Silver Bullet headphones and Icons, so it’s no surprise that the Oppo backed brand are working on a 2.0 earphone.

The teaser comes in the form of a video with funky music and spinning vinyl record plus the working “tune in on 8.25.2016” which would mean a release date of the 25th of this month for the new earbud.

Gizchina News of the week

Knowing what OnePlus and other Chinese phone makers have launched in the past we won’t be shocked if the new earbuds are a machined metal unit, but perhaps this time around we’ll get something a little more upmarket? Maybe noise cancelling?

OnePlus aren’t the only ones looking at audio to set themselves apart either. Meizu have previously launched audio centric devices, and ZTE have announced that their next phone will have audio features with the launch being held during IFA.
