Huawei, Honor’s parent company, announced at an event in Paris today that the current top-of-the-line Honor phone — the Honor 8 — was on its way to Europe.
The Honor 8 is made available to buyers in the UK starting today, i.e., 24th August. You’ll be able to shell out £369.99 ($487) at Huawei’s vMall outlet to procure the phone. Availability will soon follow on Clove, Ebuyer, Expansys and Amazon, with a free Fire TV stick from Amazon till stocks last.
Android Central report that the Honor 8 will also be made available via Three at a later date.
Gizchina News of the week
The Honor 8 comes with a Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 950 SoC, 4GB RAM, 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080p display, dual 12 mega-pixel cameras on the rear, 3000mAh battery, and 8 mega-pixel front facing camera. The Honor 8 is the very close cousin of the Huawei P9 in more ways than one.
At £369.99, the Honor phone may not be the most affordable one from the brand, especially with competition from other Chinese players, namely OnePlus making it look even more expensive.
