Lenovo, one of China’s largest smartphone manufacturers, has just announced that many of Microsoft’s productivity applications like Skype, Office and OneDrive will now come pre-installed on all of Lenovo’s devices.
This is the result of a strategic cooperation between the two companies which, aside from the pre-installation of Microsoft’s apps, also includes the two companies cross-licensing some of their device patents.
Lenovo’s leader of corporate alliances Christian Eigen states that Lenovo’s collaboration with Microsoft will create new opportunities for their customers to take advantage of some of Microsoft’s most popular apps. By installing Microsoft’s apps and services on Lenovo devices, the company will offer more value to consumers around the world.

What’s your take on this bit of news? Does this partnership give you any benefits, or is it just more bloatware for you to uninstall? Tell us down in the comments below.
To be honest I don’t care much. I’ll just root and remove any pre-installed crap that I don’t need.
Also I think it’s crappy of Android to require you to root the device to be able to remove the built-in apps that you don’t need. Did that change in the latest versions btw ? I’m still stuck at 5.
That will never change: it’s not like everyone knows what he’s doing with its phone, and if they makes something stupid then they’ll blame google for that… Google has to make its sw dumb-proof, so default root permissions isn’t something we’ll ever see from Big G… Then, companies exploit it to install crapware everywhere, and it’s just their fault, but the base idea isn’t wrong by itself
