Another piece of information about the upcoming Elephone R9 just landed in our mailbox so we can add it to the puzzle. But first of all let’s go through what we already know about the phone.
So voilá, Elephone R9 will have a full metal body made by CNC processing and the fingeprint scanner is going to be located in the front while using some new modern materials and a protective glass. Display will be a 5,5-inch one with FullHD resolution and of course the trademark bezel-less design. It will be powered by the deca-core Helio X20 processor supported by 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage, main rear camera will be a 16 Mpix shooter while the front one will be only 8 Mpix and everything governed by the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. We should be getting also a special “Sapphire Classic” blue version, which looks just marvellous.
Gizchina News of the week
Elephone are pretty proud about the resulting design and thin profile of the R9 model, allegedly their engineers have been working on such aestetic solution for more than a year. And of course to fullfill the quote we have an obligatory iPhone 6 Plus comparison in this matter, Elephone R9 is going to be 7,55 mm thin so beating the iPhone by 0.05 mm. Minimal difference, but looks good in the marketing papers right?
Do you like the ultra thin phones ? What do you think about the Elephone R9 design ? Comments below the article are all yours.
Rather than have 1 mm less in phone thickness I’d rather have more battery capacity added.
I’ve held really thin phones and while they look great they’re not that great to hold in your hands.
I think they are great looking phones. I don’t know why everybody is complaining about battery issue, it’s not 2011 anymore where you’d have to charge 2/day.. I’m sure Elephone will release with it stock Nougat or Marshmallow Android and it will be very battery efficient.
Most people complain about this particular phone because it is Elephone and they have a terrible track record for quality and efficiency. Elephone needs the biggest battery possible.
Yeah, I’m totally with you.
Elephone is no premium brand, they’ll stay midrange for a while.
Besides that, I feel the P9000 is quite solid.
