Xiaomi’s first 6+ inch smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi Max is now official in Malaysia.
Buyers in the country will be able to avail the phone for RM999 or $247. For this, they’ll get the 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM and Snapdragon 650 powered variant. It’s a little disappointing to note that this will be the only variant on sale in Malaysia, which means there’ll be no 4GB RAM/SD652 goodness for the country.
Gizchina News of the week
September 3 onwards, people in Malaysia will be able to get a Mi Max from offline stores via Thorus and online through Lazada Malaysia. Telecom carriers Maxis, Digi, Celcom and YES will also be offering the phone.

The Mi Max comes with a 6.44-inch 1920 x 1080p display, a Snapdragon 650/652 processor (the former, in this case), 3GB/4GB RAM, a 4850mAh battery, 16 mega-pixel rear camera and a 5 mega-pixel front facing camera.
Disappointed that only the base 32gb variant will be sold here. Should at least bring in the 64gb..
And I thought my Galaxy Note 4 was a big phone… I had a 7′ tablet once and I can’t imagine how you could use something similar as a phone.
