Chuwi Hi10 Plus launching September 12th for $239

Welcome to Babylon ! At least the babylonian confusion of languages and everything will come to mind the moment you will take a look at Chuwi’s current tablet lineup, the names are way to similar and the specifications pretty much too. Nonetheless the new Chuwi Hi10 Plus is coming on September 12th.

Took me a while to find the real differences between the new Hi10 Plus and the Vi10 Plus which is already available on the market. This time the “Vi/Hi” difference is not in the display resolution, both tablets share the same 10.8-inch panel with 1920×1280 pixel resolution and aspect ratio 3:2. The only difference is way beefier and usable 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage combo in the Hi10 Plus instead the 2 GB/32 GB. Worth a new name ? Hardly.

Gizchina News of the week

Rest of the specs is absolutely identical, Intel Atom X5-Z8300, 8400 mAh battery with 5V/3A quick charging, 8.8 mm thin aluminum alloy full metal body weighing 686g, USB 3.0 type-C port, optional magnetic docking keyboard and optional Chuwi HiPen H2 stylus. Because it’s a dualboot machine you can also find the Windows 10 / RemixOS 2.0 combo on board.

The new Chuwi Hi10 Plus launches on September 12th for $239, which seems pretty steep to my eyes because the Vi10 Plus is currently selling for about $160. But of course the extra memory and especially the storage will come in handy.

Err….The Hi10 runs Windows. The Vi10 does not.
That’s quite a substantial difference that is worth a name difference.
