The Ulefone Metal is currently a popular mid-range phone, attracting buyers with its metal build and decent spec set. The phone is now having it’s kernel sources made public, in a bid to attract better development.
Ulefone seem quite aware of how community ROMs can help get better recognition for their device. Which is perhaps why they’re also offering free devices to developers. Ulefone say that if you have the skills to develop popular ROMs like CyanogenMod, MIUI, AOKP, etc., you can a unit of the Metal, free of cost, for debugging purposes.

not saying ulefone is the best far from it but i can never understand why people put ulefone and elephone in the same group when clearly ulefone is a better brand with software updates etc
As far as I’m concerned, YES ! There’s like 20 chinese brands, with a handfull of them creating sub-brands or disappearing all the time.
Unless you spend all your time staying informed about chinese smartphones (Wich is a less than productive hobby for most.) your are bound to confuse a few of them.
So yes, I confuse Ulephone and Elephone, just because the name is one letter appart.
