Dual rear camera setups aren’t anything new. They’ve been around for a few years, but it is only 2016 when some real advancements have taken place.
Say for example, the Huawei P9. The Leica-powered camera tech on the phone is responsible for some really nice shots… while on the other hand, the industry behemoth — the Apple iPhone — recently (read: yesterday) joined the dual rear camera league with the iPhone 7.
Meet Bluboo Dual, China’s answer to the dual rear camera thing.
Gizchina News of the week
Earlier today, another Chinese phone maker joined the dual rear camera league… Bluboo. They did so with the aptly (uninspringly?) named Bluboo Dual. The phone will feature dual 13 mega-pixel rear cameras, and according to Bluboo, the Dual is ‘A dual camera phone better looking than iPhone 7 Plus‘.
Other specifications of the Bluboo Dual are yet to be revealed. Do you think Xiaomi’s Redmi Pro has ushered a revolution in the Chinese phone industry? A revolution where dual rear camera phones will be sold for not too much money?
Of course, a lot (lot is an understatement) depends on the optimisation; it isn’t just for the sake of it that companies spend in R&D. So that remains to be seen…
really i want to see the huawei’s mate 9 dual camera im hearing talks of ois mixed with the p9s type dual camera seems like the only dual camera that will be done right even the iphone7’s version was a let down to me, im not talking about it taking bad pictures but the actual attention to dual camera technology itself its just not being used to full potential
Sadly as an android user, its pretty obvious the iphone 7 plus’s dual setup will be better than every android manufacturers camera setup and certainly every android dual camera setup. The 6 plus still featured very close to the top of most best camera comparisons and this looks a like a big step up. The sad truth is the majority of android manufacturers cant really implement cameras that perform consistently well in all scenarios with good software processing as well as good video capture and stabilisation. Weather they are not using it to its full potential or not its still going to lead the market. In my mind it comes doen to resources, when you have 800+ engineers working on yoru cameras and billions of dollars likelihood is you are gonna come out on top.
well is seems this discussion wont be about facts but rather me fighting against your strong opinion of apple,, what you just said to me is the equivalent to this ” IT is the law that iphone’s 7 dual camera will always defeat android it doesnt matter what scientist what break through all the resources of all people and all nations is the birth right of apple and for the future and forever ” it can take 1 engineer one guy thats struggling to pay his bills to innovate, how ironic seeing how big top nokia with all their engineers lost to the smaller apple
as for the dual camera technology itself apple is the third worse upgrade 1st to the simple depth of field implementation and second to wide angle by the lg g5 and v10 the best is the p9’s implementation of black and white plus color 2x zoom is no big deal if apple overcame the magnetic interference of simultaneous ois dual cameras +depth of field+zoom+ RGB+monochrome hopefully the mate 9 will have
but if you are content with the iphone 7 being the best then your the enemy of advancement is that the best you want for dual cameras?
Lol, your mad if you think 1 engineer can implement a phone camera that beats an 800 engineer team like apples for a start. Secondly i’m not talking about just image quality i’m talking about the whole package. The Huawei P9 as much as you seem to like it never appears at the top of any best phone camera list I have seen (and iv’e seen a lot) because overall it was a bit above average but not class leading at all and is inconsistent in its results it still gets beaten by the 6S plus. The market leaders the S7/G5/Vi10 narrowly beat the iPhone 6S Plus but not in all categories. Their OIS implementation is still not as good as the 6Plus and apple does better slow motion video amongst other things. Now apple have added lower apertaure lenses than the P9 and they will be better implemented no question and faster image processing/focussing speed etc etc. The LG v20 may be competitive but i severely doubt it will be able to take better video or perform as consistently as an iphone camera in regular day to day use. Most people don’t use manual mode all the time anyway. Like i said i’m not saying it will be the best a dual camera setup can be but it will most likely be better than the majority of android manufacturers.
oh alright i understand what your saying lets both wait till the end of the year and see
Well… Apple has always created iDIOT’s and have always been shameless of stealing great technologies and idea’s from others – atleast the so called founder has guts to admit the same .. Coming to your new Iphone7 & 7+, It’s not going to be anything ground breaking as Apple copies stuff from others and makes their changes to their products – if it was so fu****g great – which it isn’t – they could have come up with DUAL CAM’s first in the market’s but they couldn’t as they neither have ball’s nor do they have REAL MEN who go beyond to think out of the box. For all those who want to buy the JET BLACK iPhone 7+, I hope you’re wives would be happy with a new shiny Dil*o …
China Smartphone goes better, latest I have buy a AllCall Bro, seems very competitive and high performance!
