GooPhone, a name from the dark past of Chinese phone, has come back from the dead just after the launch of the latest Apple device with details of their knock off iPhone 7 Plus! (Update: Video added)

A few years ago GooPhone were grabbing headlines by launching knock off iPhones before even Apple had a chance of launching the originals, This boiled down to GooPhone even threatening to sue Apple for design copyright!

The update: Video of the phone in action here.

Earlier:

The heyday of Chinese clones is long gone, but GooPhone have seen the launch of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus as an opportunity to ride the Apple hype train once again and release a couple of their own clones.

Listed over on the GooPhone Shop website, the GooPhone i7 Plus is listed as coming with a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 “Retina Display”, 1.8Ghz octacore processor, and dual 12 mega-pixel Sony cameras. Below are the rest of the GooPhone i7 specs:

Gizchina News of the week

  • 1.8Ghz octacore chipset.

Pricing is listed at $229.00 down from an original price of $399, but if that’s too much there is also the GooPhone i7 with single 12 mega-pixel Sony rear cream, 4.7-inch display and smaller 1960mAh battery for $179.00.

Of course it remains to be seen if these phones are actual device or just vapourware, but even still we wouldn’t recommend buying one.

fair enough … i’d like to see if one of those dual cam lenses are FAKE (like the dual speakers in chinese phones , where one is for show only)

and wtf is that 1.8 GHZ CPU ?! dont remember any chipset of that frequency !

sounds fishy AF tbh , but would appreciate the brace soul who spends $300+ to clear all the doubts :p !

The one in the video isn’t a Goophone. Goophone doesn’t use the actual logos, they use their own which is a bumblebee and it says Goophone on the back. You can see in the pictures below the past Goophone iPhone clones.

lol … could this mean the goophone 7 actually has a dual cam

Goophone actually made pretty decent phones so it probably is dual lens. The question is whether or not the camera is any good period. That was back when orientdeal was selling 7 inch phones lol.

Don´t ever try any clone , all of those are garbage , all ot them have FAKE specs and manipulate Antutu to show fake hardware, they don´t have more than 1GB in ram and no more than HD screen resolution , the camera results are more than awful and you will never get ota updates , besides the price is insanely stupid , basically you just get the “outside” of the original with very, very , crappy hardware and optimization in the inside , for that price you could buy a Note 3 Pro with SD 650 my friend , a really great phone , not this shitty “clone”

Goophone and No. 1 actually had some decent phones back in the day, even for being clones. Most clones are exactly what you described but these two brands are usually pretty consistent with what is advertised and usually decent budget options.
