It’s been a while since Xiaomi announced their first laptop, the Xiaomi Notebook Air series. As is the case with almost all Xiaomi gadgets, this one too has taken it’s own sweet time in coming in stock.
Word is that the 13.3-inch version of the laptop is finally starting to appear. This version has a 256GB PCIE SSD, and is powered by an Intel 6th gen Core i5 6200U along with an Nvidia 940MX GPU.
Gizchina News of the week
Other features of the Notebook Air 13 include 8GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM, a USB Type-C port, and Windows 10 installation. You can have a read of our first impressions with the 12.5-inch version here.
The 13.3-inch version is a bit pricey for now, as expected. It’s listed for around the $986-mark on reseller sites, and is expected to start shipping between the 10th and 12th of this month. Are you planning to get one of these? Or do you have an alternative in mind?

Good alternative for coffee shop goers and hipsters who buy MacBooks just to install and run Windows on them.

If you want broken graphics go ahead. If you want distorted audio go ahead. If you don’t want to use your favorite peripherals go ahead. If you don’t want your native keyboard functions go ahead. If you don’t want to run Windows programs go ahead. If you don’t care about updates by all means, go ahead.
