A few days back, we showed a teardown video of the Bluboo Maya Max. Yesterday, Bluboo — the company famous for their budget-friendly devices — released another video regarding the standard of tests they adopt for their smartphones.
As shown in the video, they stress test the handset in a quite a few amount of ways: micro-drop test (from a height of 10cm) for 5,000 times, soft squeeze test for 2,000 times, physical buttons test for 100,000 times and paper tape abrasion test. After that they also stress the USB Type-C and 3.5mm jack port for other 5,000 times to then end with a phone roller drop test, ball impact test and salt fog corrosion test.

Bluboo seem to be very proud of their rigorous testing methodology, which brought them as far as comparing it to the iPhone 7 Plus (duh) in regards to professionality and strictness of their quality control processes. After watching the video it’s really hard to disagree!
About the Bluboo Maya Max itself
The Bluboo Maya Max is — as the “Max” name suggests — yet another big phablet with a 6″ HD SHARP OGS display. Furthermore, it packs a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, a fingerprint reader and a 4200mAh battery.
On the back we find a Sony 13MP shooter while on the front there’s a 8MP camera. The Bluboo Maya Max also features an USB Type-C port and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
