One of the latest Blackview devices, the A8 Max is already available in presales with an interesting $74.99 price tag. So what’s inside it to make the price/performance ratio look good? Let’s quickly sum it up.
Blackview A8 Max can offer 5,5-inch LCD display with the HD resolution, quad-core MT6737 processor clocked at 1,3 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of expandable storaghe, main 8 Mpix camera with the Sony IMX219 sensor, front 5 Mpix and Android 6.0 Marshmallow as the OS. Nothing ground breaking, but for such money pretty solid budget phone.
But Blackview think the main selling point is the battery life and while the 3000 mAh capacity looks average on paper, they claim it can last for 14 hours or talk time, 13 hours of internet surfing, 9 hours of HD video playback, 17 hours of music playback or 270 hours just in stand-by mode. And to prove it they have for us a video, where the A8 Max’s battery life gets compared with the Xiaomi Mi Note. Check it out.

And talking about Blackview we have to mention that there is currently even cheaper Blackview phone available with the E7 model for example here.
Not really fair, the MI has a SIM card installed. Even though both are connected to Wifi, the SIM still draws power. Especially on not so well optimized phones (which small brand Chinese phones tend to be).
One would need to redo the test with a SIM in the A8 Max too.
