Colawe Rio Photo shows off AMOLED display

colawe rio amoled

Earlier this morning Colawe released the first official photo of the Colawe Rio showing off the budget phone’s AMOLED display.

If you are a fan of the Colawe Facebook page then you will have already seen the above image. The new company released the photo first on their Facebook page to show “thanks” to it’s supporters, and states that more photos are to come this week.

The image shows the Colawe Rio, but in contrast to earlier spy photos this phone is functioning and shows the $129.99 phones AMOLED display for the first time. The image also confirms the placement of a physical home button with fingerprint scanner, and (thankfully) shows us that the Rio doesn’t suffer from black borders around its display.

Gizchina News of the week

The final detail to notice is that this version of the Rio seems to be running a custom launcher, where as earlier renders of the phone show a stock Android operating system. We’re waiting to see which will be released with the phone.

So far we know that the Colawe Rio will come with the following specifications:

  • 5.5-inch display
  • AMOLED panel
  • CNC alloy chassis
  • 3000mAh battery
  • Fingerprint Scanner

Colawe plan to have the phone up for pre-order through online resellers in the coming weeks costing just $129.99!

    130 dollars, interesting price 😮

2-3GB RAM, 16-32GB ROM, MediaTek SoC, 1080p AMOLED, 12-16mpx rear camera + 5-8mpx front camera.

    Just wild quess 😉

It’s 2gb ram, 16go rom and a 1,3ghz quad core mediatek, well maybe not mediatek for the processor, I hope so

Definitely Mediatek SoC & probably last budget one.
This thing shouldn’t be costing more than 90$.

Looks very similar to a Meizu phone, never heard of the brand before but for $129 might give them a shot.

That wouldn’t really bother me in a $120 phone. Processor is usually one of my least concerns when buying a phone.

be careful you might get sniped, implying that a processor isnt everything?????? but the entirety of the phone and the user experience???? BLASPHEMY!! otherwise im worried about the onscreen buttons on the amoled there are apps that can customize those though so no on screen buttons burn

I am spreading the propaganda like I have done with benchmarks for years! The good news is I am seeing more and more reviews around the web skipping the benchmarks!
