Xiaomi will debut Mi Ecosystem in India with Mi Air Purifier 2 on September 21

Xiaomi have only focused on their very ‘mainstream’ products for the Indian market so far. That is all set to change with the first MiJia — or Mi Ecosystem — product launch in the country. Xiaomi will launch Mi Air Purifier 2 in India on the 21st of September.

Worth noting is that official word for Xiaomi only says that there’s an ‘Mi Ecosystem launch’ on the 21st of September. The Mi Air Purifier 2 bit comes courtesy a leak, and it seems legit anyway.

Rising pollution levels in the country, paired with a rising brand awareness for Xiaomi seem like reasons enough to launch an air purifier. Oh, and the ‘a breath of fresh air’ teaser from Xiaomi isn’t the most subtle, so… you know.

No word on pricing and availability yet, but keeping the prices in China in mind, the Mi Air Purifier 2 in India should cost around the 10,000 INR mark.
