The upcoming Elephone model the Elephone R9 so far looked quite good in the released pictures and the super thin metal design certainly suited the purpose. But seems like the company opted for a slight change of course with their bezel policy compared to their previously released models.
Gizchina News of the week
Not fully following the recent influx of the “bezel-less” phones (including some of their own models like the S3 for example) Elephone decided to go with ultra narrow bezels in the R9 instead of none. There is some merit to the idea though and they are even backing it up with some market research saying that users often complained in fingers accidentally touching the edges of the screen with the true bezel-less phones. So as for the R9 the decision goes the way of ultra narrow 0.6 mm bezels to get the best of both worlds.
The Elephone R9 is expected to be officially released very soon so hopefully the full confirmed list of specifications and more importantly the pricing will be made public. And of course we will be standing by to inform our readers about that.
I don’t understand this change….is better then preview???
7 Elephone posts in 7 days.. That’s basically 1 post a day. Elephone got the most exposure out of the other brands. Bye Gzchina, I’m out, I didn’t come here to read ads.
better, and faster IMHO. Its just a matter of time before ppl get pissed off like goodwill by this PR nonsense and switch to another website.
Agreed and androidheadlines too. They are pretty balanced.
Without those ads, it’s hard to keep a redaction going: you need money to buy phones to review and to pay who’s working with you… Also, if you give them some articles, elephone/umi/all of the others will send you their phones to review, granting an advantage for everyone (especially readers, who’ll know exactly what NOT to buy and why).
Are things really that bad right now? You can tell from the title what’s an ad and what is not, you can just skip the news…
Imho, everything’s substantially fine until reviews are not biased…
I don’t think that they pay for the phones, but they get them for free to review them. If you are a famous site or YouTuber, you can get products for free.
But it is news about a phone which a lot of people (including me) are interested in…
Please….release this smartphone…is a good smartphone, OK, but is impossible read everyday news about the same smartphone, whitout any news about it…..
