After the quiet period the slightly controversive Oukitel K7000 is back and seems like the presales for this model are starting just tomorrow, September 21st. And you ask what is the controversive part about this phone? Well it’s connected to its advertised 7000 mAh battery.
The thing is in order to maintain the K7000 being slim and fancy the Oukitel engineers managed to insert inside only the 2000 mAh battery and the rest of the capacity is provided by the 5000 mAh “Matrix” semi-powerbank, which can also serve as the phone stand of even a protective case. Apparently the company is trying to appeal to customers wanting way bigger battery life of their, while being quite sturdy.
Gizchina News of the week
Presales of the Oukitel K7000 will be up tomorrow as mentioned and the good news is that the K7000 bundled with the “Matrix” will cost just $109.99 and those adventurous willing to buy just the bare device can get it even lower for $99.99. Authorized sellers will be soon listed at the Oukitel official website and if you would be interested in the full K7000 specifications you can click here.
…..meh
7000 Mah not enough?
Looks like an excellent buy honestly value for money considering the pack, this is 10 dollars for 5000 mah battery pack do some simple research and compare prices
Oukitel seems to cater a lot towards large batteries, nice to see the 5000mAh power pack included with it.
The idea is interesting, I’d like to see how it plays out… Basically they get you for free a power case, which is much more comfortable to use than a regular powerbank imho (something that lemon-something sells at a lucrative price for other phones). Moreover, the phone should have a removable battery, which is always appreciated by many (myself included).
The thing I already know is that the final thickness should be bigger than a regular phone with a 7000mah battery due to double protective layers, but let’s see how it’ll actually be.
Looks like a gimmick phone.
Wasn’t expecting this from Oukitel, but sites all say that the back camera is 5MP interpolated to 8MP, so that can`t be good.
MTK6737 is barely an upgrade over 6735 and asking 109$ for 2GB/16GB version is not very cheap either.
Will get one for a review when it becomes available, but with that camera it`s a shame.
That’s great that you have fingerprint sensor which you cannot use when you have that battery pack on it 😀
