At almost one year after launch, the Ulefone Power has sold more than 1 million units. The smartphone is doing so well that even Aliexpress themselves recommend it on their homepage; that only happens when a product is selling a lot and users review it positively.
The Ulefone Power is still the best selling Ulefone’s handset on the market. Customers seem to have loved the 6050mAh paired with an above average build quality and constant software updates.
Possibly also the drop in price has helped; the smartphone was being sold $199 at launch, but now, one year later, it can be found for less than $150.
Gizchina News of the week
In a quick specs recap, the Ulefone Power features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, MediaTek MT6753 (1.3GHz) octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable). All of that is fueled by a massive 6050mAh battery,
It’s now on sale for $146.99, click here to know more.
If only they haven’t used recycled glass bottles as lenses for the camera, it would have heen even more attractive… Still a good phone after all, battling on par with oukitel k6000pro… Still hoping in a new model with upgraded hardware though…
“If only they haven’t used recycled glass bottles as lenses for the camera”
HAAHHA !
? Why are you laughing?! That’s a serious issue! ? they didn’t even bother to clean the bottles before using it… People have been asking for an ota capable of removing the stains of beer and apple juice from their lenses! ?
hory shet man … thats a cheap fuck blunder
i hope ulefone learn from such an amateurish mistake !
Meh, it does what it’s supposed to. It’s a battery phone, and it delivers very nice battery life, in fact it goes beyond my initial expectation giving the fact that it has a fullhd screen and a soc with bad efficiency. The os runs pretty well, it can even handle decently havy games. But camera is a mess, build quality is ok but some unity have issues, so quality control wasn’t that strict. The in-bundle charger is a suicide, it overheats the phone to the point it damages its internal components. Speaking of which, overheating isn’t a big deal, but the glue inside the phone is extremely sensitive to the heat on some unit, so it’s something to watch out for.
Still, I followed this phone for so long that I’m still thinking to take one ?
don’t do it bro 😛
go for some better brand !
I’d like to, but I don’t see xiaomi or letv going for a 6050+ mah battery phone anytime soon, sadly
From my experience with the Power I bought, I wouldn’t buy another Ulefone, or MediaTek phone for that matter in any situation. One or the other may be innocent. Problems: The headphone jack only worked with the supplied headphones (which were crap incidentally). Other headphones or line plugs just fall out or won’t plug in. Audio handling for calls (with headphones was flawed/malfunctioning. The phone would freeze, especially GPS map apps. The dedicated camera button isn’t properly implemented (for example, when viewing photos, the shutter button won’t take a photo), so stupid. The launcher would crash often. It is also silly that Ulefone changes Google app icons. Why?? I ended up discovering & using Google’s launcher, so I learnt something there anyway. Things just seemed not right under the hood. I’ll stick to Qualcomm. Reviews say the camera is not bad, but I learnt I can’t downgrade from a premium phone. The camera won’t make you feel happy. I bought the Power as a temporary phone until something I like came out. At the time I didn’t know about the LG V10, if I new it existed I would have no need to have bought the Power. The V10 is great, no looking back. (Sure they are in a different price class, but I found the Power flawed in hardware and software. If you can, the V10 audio & camera are superb – a Vivo killer with no Google Play problems.)
hmm … i believe this is down to POOR Quality Control.
which is why i’ll be basing my future purchase on a well-known brand which ATLEAST guarantee a working and physically able bodied device rather than a toothless , problem-infested fluff pillow.
thanks for the heads up
The MTK6753 is weak, don’t expect a good Snapdragon for that price. Also, it’s not a CPU’s fault, if the company that uses it, makes crap phones…
No man, i read it elsewhere.
Dude, learn how to tell between a normal user and real employees… It’s not like everyone saying something almost-positive about a company you don’t like is paid to do so…
Not too bad for such an obscure company.
90% of the world has no idea they exist.
Yeah sure, remove one zero at the end and maybe the number will be the correct one!
