With the launch of the Xiaomi Mi5S Plus last week you would have thought that rumours of a Mi Note 2 may have fizzled out, but this isn’t the case.
The fact is Xiaomi Mi Note 2 rumours are very much alive and it is thought that the large screen phone could be released by the end of the year. Of course, no rumour is worth writing about without some sort of photographic evidence and a few spec details to back them up, so we have purported images too.
First of all the phone in the images clearly resembles current flagship Mi products with a curved rear panel, and we can see that the phone also feature dual rear cameras and a dual LED flash.
Compared to the current Mi5S Plus the camera location is different and there is a definite lack of a rear fingerprint scanner too, so on to the front.
Gizchina News of the week
Images of the front of the Mi Note 2 shows a flat display (possibly measuring 5.7-inches) not the curved panel we had heard would take the Chinese phone world by storm this year.
There is also no notable area for a fingerprint scanner, but we assume it is hidden beneath the Mi logo on the run of the phone. Design wise the Mi Note 2 looks like a Meizu from the front, there is even a bit of JiaYu G4 in there too.
There is also one glaring detail that I have overlooked and that’s those colours. The images show the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 in various metallic hues, but it’s clear that these were added on with photoshop.
As for hardware the Mi Note 2 is believed to have an AMOLED display, NFC, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, HIFI audio and could be waterproof. Pricing has been suggested to be as much as 3999 Yuan !
